The Liquorice Floor Basket is one of our most popular baskets! These unique cotton rope storage baskets are tall and come with long handles for easy carrying. They can be used to store a variety of things: laundry, blankets, towels, scatter cushions, etc. They can also be used in children's nurseries to store toys neatly.
Mia Mélange baskets are made from 100% cotton rope which we carefully sew together in a coiling technique. The cotton is grown locally in South Africa by farmers who are members of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). Our cotton rope baskets are made in our studio in Stellenbosch, just outside of Cape Town, South Africa.
For a more durable base, we can make the black part of the basket from a synthetic South African sourced multifilament polypropylene.
